Most parcels are sent via. FedEx and are usually delivered by express parcel vans during working hours on weekdays only, not by the normal postman. In case no one is in, it is important that you fill in the ‘Delivery Instructions’ box at the bottom of the order form. Please describe briefly where you would like the parcel left, or give an alternative delivery address nearby. The driver will also put a card in your letter-box. These instructions are sent to the FedEx computer, as well as appearing on the label, enabling the driver to leave the parcel without signature, rather than return it to the Depot.
Channel Isles, Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands, I.O.M. & Scillies orders will be sent by the most cost effective means, Royal Mail Standard service or FedEx, often prices will be as listed for UK mainland, though some orders will have a delivery surcharge, we will let you know this with your order confirmation.
FedEx UK mainland; Prices tabled here. (as calculated on the order)
If you will be away in March, April or May, please let us know & we will avoid sending your parcel just before, or whilst you are away.
Sent via. EuroExpress. Minimum order value of plants £70. As soon as I know what plants I am able to supply, I will send a confirmation of your order and invoice. There is no easy formula for working out the postage cost, though for much of Europe 20 Kg costs around £25 - £35 We have found deliveries to southern Europe to be unreliable, so will not accept orders for Italy, Spain or Portugal.
We no longer accept orders from outside the E.C.
Orders through the website are not payed for at the time of order, I will usually ask you to phone with debit card details before the order is sent. Cards are only charged at the time of dispatch. If you are posting an order, payment with order please, cheques payable to Elizabeth MacGregor. All orders received through the post, by the beginning of March will be acknowledged. I will try to acknowledge later orders. Orders from N.T. & N.T.S. Gardens on official order forms will be invoiced on dispatch. Carriage on orders not prepaid will be invoiced at cost.
Please note that orders are usually sent during March, April and May. We will try to fulfill later orders, though taller plants will have to be cut back to fit in a box. Orders are dealt with in order of receipt. I will send an email or phone when your parcel is dispatched, this will enable you to make enquiries if your parcel is delayed. Orders can be collected from the nursery, we will let you know when your order is ready for collection.
This catalogue is produced after plants have been propagated for next year, so that early in the season, everything listed should be available. Please tick the boxes on your order form to let me know your preference if any plant should be sold out.
